
Employer Sponsored Working Visas
For people looking to live and work in Australia, there are several forms of working visas available, each with their own set of conditions and restrictions.
Some of these visas can be a pathway for acquiring permanent residence status in Australia, through either the Employment Nomination Scheme (ENS) or the Regional Skilled Migration Scheme (RSMS).
Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa Subclass 482
The Temporary Work Visa (Subclass 457) has been replaced by the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa (Subclass 482) on 18 March 2018.
Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) Visa Subclass 186
This allows Australian employers to sponsor employees who are foreign nationals for a permanent visa to work in Australia (Direct Entry Stream) or (Transitional Stream).
Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 494
The Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 494 was introduced by the DHA 16 November 2019, replacing previous visa Subclass 187. This visa allows skilled workers to live and work in a designated regional area of Australia for up to 5 years.
Training Visa Subclass 407
The Training Subclass 407 Visa is a temporary visa for those who wish to undertake workplace based occupational training or professional development in Australia. This visa allows the holder to improve their skills in their current occupation, area of tertiary study or field of expertise.
Applicants wishing to work in Australia but do not have employee sponsorship can consider the option of General Skilled Migration (GSM) Visas.
