General Skilled Migration (GSM) Visas
For skilled individuals wishing to live and work in Australia, and without an Australian employer to sponsor them, there are a range of General Skilled Migration (GSM) Visa options.
There are both temporary and permanent GSM Visa options available, each with different eligibility criteria and conditions.

Skilled Recognised Graduate Visa Subclass 476
The Skilled Recognised Graduate Visa (Subclass 476) is a temporary visa which allows recent engineering graduates, from recognised Institutions, to gain up to 18 months of skilled work experience.
Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189
The Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189) is a permanent visa, which allows skilled workers to live in Australia.
Skilled Nomination Visa Subclass 190
The Skilled Nomination Visa (Subclass 190) is a permanent visa, which allows skilled workers to live in Australia, with a nomination by an Australian State or Territory Government.
Temporary Graduate Visa Subclass 485
The Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) is a temporary visa for International students who have recently graduated, from a recognised Australian educational institution.
Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 491
The Skilled Work Regional Visa Subclass 491 allows eligible skilled workers to live and work in a specific designated regional area of Australia, for up to 5 years.
